Solutions from Lenze Schmidhauser shown for the first time at the eCarTec fair in Munich

Hameln/Romanshorn --- Why have one when you can have three? The MCB (Multi Converter Box) from Lenze Schmidhauser allows up to three auxiliary devices to be electrically driven in buses and other commercial vehicles in an efficient manner. The new, space-saving solution for the operation of synchronous and asynchronous motors has been certified for use in vehicles and will be on show on stand 632 in hall A5 at the eCarTec fair in Munich from 18 to 20 October 2011.

Vibration resistant, temperature-resistant, equipped with a UDS interface for end-to-end diagnostic concepts and with a high degree of protection - the Multi Converter Box (MCB) from Lenze Schmidhauser offers everything for demand-oriented driving of auxiliaries in the power range from 5 to 30 kW. Indeed, the MCB is already being used every day in dozens of buses with hybrid drives, demonstrating its impressive reliability in real world applications. The inverter solution from Lenze Schmidhauser has also already proven itself highly effective as a drive for electrical air compressors.

The MCB can be flexibly adapted to its respective duties and is the result of an intensive collaboration over several years. Here, the innovative power and expertise of Schmidhauser in developing energy-efficient drive technology for electric transport was combined with Lenze's production expertise in the field of general drive and automation technology.
