Power electronics module for commercial vehicles
Lenze Schmidhauser introduces both itself and the MOBILE product system for the first time at the International Commercial Vehicle Motor Show (IAA) in Hanover
Hamelin. Lenze Schmidhauser, a leading manufacturer of drive solutions for mobile applications, will be exhibiting at the International Commercial Vehicle Motor Show (IAA) for the first time this year. The company will be presenting its solutions for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery in Hanover from 20 to 27 September 2012. Its trade fair stand in Hall 13 (Stand F12) will focus on the new MOBILE modular product system. This encompasses double converters, DC/DC converters and various combination modules designed specifically for use in vehicles. These products make it quick and easy for manufacturers to create a custom system for drive control of auxiliary equipment and supplying power to the on-board electrical system from a single source. This allows users to cover a wide scope of applications economically and efficiently using just one product range, and to react flexibly to new requirements.
The modular product system currently encompasses several intelligent twin converters (DCU), two DC/DC converters (PSU) and various combination modules. The twin converters are each equipped with two motor/generator outputs in the power range from 7.5 to 60 kW. The converters can be used to control synchronous and asynchronous motors (three-phase with or without encoders). As such, they are ideally suited both to controlling auxiliary equipment (in V/f or vector operating mode) and small main drives.
In terms of DC/DC converters, one 5kW and one 10kW version is available with 14 or 28V DC output (max. 200 A). These converters thereby allow a high-performance on-board electrical system to be created or can serve as replacements for alternators. For power-intensive applications, multiple converters can even be connected in parallel.
Multiple combination modules, each of which combines one 5kW DC/DC converter with one individual converter in a single module, round off the product portfolio. All modules in the product platform are certified to ECE R100 and encased in a housing (IP6K9K) with identical structure.
